HTML Pocket Terms of Use
Last updated: May 20, 2026
Welcome to HTML Pocket. These Terms explain the basic rules that apply when you use this app.
1. Service Content
Section titled “1. Service Content”HTML Pocket is a local HTML file browsing app. It mainly provides the following capabilities:
- Open local
.html/.htmfiles - Organize HTML files with different content into web page entries
- Show a list of previously opened web pages on the home screen
- Render HTML content using Apple WebKit
WKWebView - When iCloud is available, sync web page entries, web page folder contents, and deletion records across devices signed in to the same Apple Account through Apple’s official CloudKit private database
HTML Pocket is not currently a full browser. It does not provide a remote URL address bar, tabs, bookmarks, an HTML editor, developer tools, or a self-hosted cloud sync service.
2. Usage Rules
Section titled “2. Usage Rules”You must use this app lawfully and properly. You may not use this app for illegal activity, infringement, harassment, cracking, bypassing security restrictions, or other improper behavior.
You are responsible for confirming that you have the legal right to use any HTML files you import, open, browse, or sync, including any text, images, scripts, styles, links, and other content contained in those files. You are solely responsible for the source, safety, and subsequent use of that content.
3. Local Files and Web Page Content
Section titled “3. Local Files and Web Page Content”HTML Pocket organizes the HTML files or ZIP archives you open into local web page entries, and saves the entry HTML, copied resource files, and related web page metadata locally on your device. Source files with identical content may be recognized and reused as the same web page entry.
This app does not actively repair damaged HTML, and it does not guarantee that every HTML file will be displayed completely or exactly as you expect. Rendering results may be affected by the file content, WebKit support, system version, device size, network status, and availability of external resources.
If the HTML content you open contains external resources or links, WKWebView may access those resources according to the web page content and system behavior. You should decide for yourself whether the relevant web page content is trustworthy.
4. iCloud Sync
Section titled “4. iCloud Sync”When iCloud is available, HTML Pocket may sync web page entries, web page folder contents, and deletion records through Apple’s official iCloud / CloudKit private database, so organized web pages can be shared between iPhone and iPad devices signed in to the same Apple Account.
iCloud sync is an asynchronous, best-effort capability. It is not guaranteed to be instant, complete, or continuously available. iCloud account status, network conditions, Apple service status, system settings, and device storage status may all affect sync results.
When iCloud sync is unavailable, the app should still prioritize local import, browsing, and deletion capabilities. You should also understand that HTML content synced to other devices may create local copies on those devices.
5. Feature Availability
Section titled “5. Feature Availability”HTML Pocket strives to provide a stable experience, but it does not guarantee that the app, WebKit rendering, file access, iCloud sync, or system capabilities will always be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for every specific purpose.
Some features depend on iOS / iPadOS, WebKit, the Files app, iCloud, CloudKit, network status, or Apple service status. Changes to these conditions may affect your experience.
6. Privacy Protection
Section titled “6. Privacy Protection”Information processing related to your use of HTML Pocket is governed by the HTML Pocket Privacy Policy.
